Houthi spokesperson Saree stated that their strikes were aimed at Saudi troops and an arsenal of weapons in the vicinity; however, there has been no official comment from Saudi authorities regarding these attacks.

Additionally, Rashad al-Alimi, the leader of Yemen’s Saudi Arabia-backed presidential council, updated U.S. Chargé d’Affaires to Yemen, Neil Hop, on these recent developments.
